in the world of flea markets, the early bird definitely gets the worm. this time, i was the bird. arriving before the market officially opened on sunday at 10am, i was scouring booths as vendors were setting up.
i found a great yellow metal cart on casters that is cute and also super functional. my man, who’s square footage in our home is shrinking, will use it as a spot for his work bag and laptop. check out the jonathan adler chevron tray at the bottom for holding mail. fancy! this cart would also be great in the kitchen.
in addition to having a spectacular view of manhattan and delicious food, the brooklyn flea market in williamsburg also boasts a large, clean space with lots of vendors selling treasures of all kinds. i saw those cool metal stars made from old siding (passé according to friends in the know), a stuffed critter mounted on a piece of wood, and an old gambling wheel.
i like the mix of vintage and hand crafted at this market. many of the sellers can also be found at the fort greene flea on saturdays, but their wares are always changing, so it never gets old.
